The Mary D Hume

The Mary D Hume, retired and sadly decayed after many decades of service provides an interesting photo op at the Port of Gold Beach. A memorial with her story stands on the banks of the Rogue River.

Gold Beach is famous for many things. The fabulous Rogue River which provides some of the best fishing in the region, and which hosts exciting and informative trips upriver by jet boat both from the Mail Boats and Jerry's Rogue Jet Boats.

They found gold on the beach here back when, hence the town name, so look sharp when you are beachcombing!
